This is an antique stoneware inhaler made by Dr Nelson and Boots the Chemist. It has a glazed finish that has developed fine crackle or crazing over time, giving it a classic aged look. The front is inscribed “Dr. Nelson's IMPROVED INHALER. Directions for use. Remove Mouthpiece, Half fill inhaler with boiling water replace mouthpiece & apply lips to it. Breathe freely in & out as in ordinary full respiration. The 'BOOTS The Chemists' Logo is below.  There are no major cracks or chips. It remains in good condition for its age and makes an attractive decorative piece or addition to a collection of antique medical items.
